Richmond gas works has a backlog of over 900 leaks throughout its service area with a projected $750,000,000 repair and replacement cost. There are also many issues and needed improvements with the city’s water, sewage, and stormwater systems.

Thanks to the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter, you can easily send a message to City Council and urge them to stop wasting tax money on gas leaks and expanded debt-financed gas networks into surrounding counties. It’s good step for your household budget — and for the environment!
